Taxodium distichum - bundles of 25, 18-24” seedlings

Native to southeastern U.S. but hardy in the north. Adaptable, large slow growing long lived tree usually found in swamps. Prefers moist acidic sandy soil. Will grow in drier upland settings as well. Tolerates extended periods of flooding. Needles turn a coppery color in the fall before dropping each year. Round cones, disintegrate to release 20-30 seeds. Wood is highly resistant to decay. Attractive, smooth, exfoliating reddish bark.
