Lindera benzoin - bundles of 25, 18-24” seedlings

6-12’ shrub, native to the Eastern U.S. and Canada. Found in deciduous forest understory and moist areas in sun-shade. Tolerant of clay soils. Yellowish flowers emerge early in spring before foliage. Leathery leaves have a spicy smell when crushed. Brilliant edible red fruit occur on female plants and are sought by many birds. Loosely rounded shape, may form thickets.
