Rubus parviflorus - bundles of 25, 12-18” seedlings
MN native shrub species found in the understory around the Great Lakes. Thimbleberry is related to raspberry and has similar fruit, but coarse hairs and no thorns. It is 2-5’ tall and shade tolerant and prefers openings and edges. Large 5-petaled white flowers produced by this dense, sprawling shrub. Leaves resemble maples but with a fuzzy texture. Can provide soil stability on shaded slopes.
